  I’m next to a post on a scoreboard that will soon be replaced

  And now as you begin your chase

  Remember to abide

  By the signs on the school grounds that preside

  And soon a smile will grace your face

  But the clues are proving to be quite unkind,

  For you’ll need to know,

  The football team’s flow,

  To unlock the solution entwined.

  The history of the team is the key,

  To unraveling the mystery,

  So study their past,

  From first to the last,

  And a medallion will be set loose and free.

  You might need to ask some old fans,

  Or visit with a Germain, Seibel, Larson, or Baillargeon,

  But with knowledge in hand,

  You’ll surely understand,

  And unlock the numbers above as they stand.

  In the springtime when weather is cool,

  And the skies can be grayish and dull,

  We welcome with glee,

  A dish warm and hearty,

  For it’s time for Pea Soup Days to rule!

  In a village, a medallion did hide,

  Its whereabouts, nobody could decide,

  It caused quite a stir,

  As folks searched near and far,

  But the medallion continued to bide.

  Though the townsfolk pleaded and begged,

  The mystery’s source never revealed,

  For the clues that were given,

  Were not in poetic form written,

  And thus the mystery remained sealed.

  So they searched high and low, far and wide,

  To find the answers they sought to provide,

  And in the end, they found,

  That the clues were all around,

  But not in verse, which they couldn’t abide.
